2. General Guidelines and Mandatory Information
Data Protection
The administrators of these webpages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We handle your personal data in confidence, in accordance with legal data protection regulations and this data protection policy. When you use this website, a variety of personal data is captured. Personal data is data from which you can be personally identified. This data protection policy explains which data we capture and what we use that data for. It also explains how and why that happens. We must caution you that safety breaches can occur during online data transfer (e.g. during email communications). It is not possible to completely protect data from third-party access.
Right of appeal to the appropriate regulatory body
In the case of infringements of data protection law, the affected party has the right to appeal to the appropriate regulatory body. The regulatory body responsible for cases involving data protection is the state commissioner for data protection (Landesdatenschutzbeauftragter) in the German federal state in which our company is headquartered. A list of the data protection commissioners, with their contact details, can be found by visiting the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.
The right to data portability
You have the right to have any data which we have automatically processed, with your permission, or in fulfilment of a contract, issued to yourself or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. Should you request the direct transfer of the data to a third party, this will only be done, to the extent that it is technically possible.
Enquiries, Blocking, Deleting
Within the terms of the legal provisions in operation, you have the right to obtain information about your stored personal data, its origins and recipients, the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, the right to correct, block or delete the data at any time, free of charge. For more on this or and any other questions you may have about data protection, feel free to contact us at the address in the masthead at any time.
3. Data collection on our website
Cookies
Webpages sometimes use so-called “cookies”. Cookies will not damage your computer and do not harbour any viruses. Cookies help us offer a safer and more user-friendly and effective service. Cookies are small text files which are transferred to your computer and stored by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted at the end of your session. Other cookies are stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit. You can programme your browser to alert you to the use of cookies and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis, permit cookies to be accepted only in specific cases, block cookies across the board or automatically delete cookies when you close your browser. Deactivating cookies can limit the functionality of this website.
Cookies which are needed for the operation of electronic communication procedures or to provide specific functions you have requested (e.g. the shopping cart function) will be stored in accordance with DSGVO art. 6, para 1, lit. f. The website administrator has a valid interest in storing cookies which permit him or her to offer optimal, error-free services. If other cookies (e.g. cookies that analyse your browsing behaviour) are stored, they will be treated as a separate category in this data protection policy.
Server log files
The webpage provider automatically captures and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically communicates to us. This information includes:
Browser type and version
The operating system used
The referrer’s URL
The host name of the accessing computer
The time of the server request
The IP address
This data is not aggregated with other data sources. Data processing is undertaken in accordance with DSGVO art. 6, para 1, lit f, which permits the processing of data in fulfilment of or preparation for a contract.
Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts, provided by Google, for the uniform representation of fonts. When you call up a webpage, your browser uploads the requisite web fonts into your browser cache, in order to display texts and typefaces correctly. To do this, your browser has to connect with Google’s servers. This informs Google that our website has been accessed from your IP address. We use Google web fonts in the interest of creating a uniform and appealing visual representation of our online services. This is a legitimate goal as defined in DSGVO Art. 6, Para 1, lit f.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.
You can find more information on Google web fonts at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s data protection policies at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
